Automation with evidence gates.
PAYNE builds AI-assisted workflows, agents, monitoring and decision infrastructure. The design rule is fixed: machines do the volume, humans approve anything consequential. Speed where speed is safe — judgment where judgment is required.
The work machines should be doing.
Most operations run on repetitive reading, sorting, checking and reporting that a person does slowly and resents. That layer is where automation earns its keep — and where PAYNE starts.
Workflow automation
Multi-step processes — intake, routing, handoffs, status updates — run on rails with time stamps, retries and a clear owner for every exception.
Agent-assisted research
Agents that gather, cross-check and summarize source material at volume, with every claim linked back to where it came from — so a human can verify before acting.
Document processing & classification
Contracts, invoices, filings and records read, extracted, classified and filed automatically — with confidence thresholds that route uncertain cases to a person.
Monitoring & alerting
Systems that watch what matters — sites, feeds, queues, deadlines, thresholds — and raise a specific, actionable alert instead of noise.
Reporting & dashboards
The numbers an operator actually decides with, assembled automatically and delivered on schedule — one honest view instead of five conflicting spreadsheets.
Data infrastructure
The pipelines, storage and structure underneath it all: data collected once, cleaned once, and usable by every workflow that needs it.
Nothing consequential ships without a human signature.
Every PAYNE automation is built around a gate. Upstream of the gate, machines discover, draft and check at volume — with provenance attached to every claim. At the gate, a person reviews the evidence and approves or rejects. Only then does an action touch money, customers or reputation. Verification and evaluation are designed in before launch, not bolted on after an incident.
See the methodRules the automation is built under.
These are not aspirations. They are constraints applied to every build, and they are why the systems can be trusted with real operations.
- Proven on our own operation first. PAYNE runs its automation on its own work before recommending it for yours. Nothing is proposed that has not survived internal use.
- Every automated claim is traceable. If a system asserts something — a figure, a match, a recommendation — it carries the source it came from. Untraceable output is treated as wrong.
- Failure modes are designed, not discovered. Timeouts, bad inputs, model errors and silent stalls are enumerated and handled before launch — with alerts, fallbacks and a defined human owner for each.
- No fully autonomous financial or legal actions. Payments, commitments, filings and anything binding require explicit human approval. That gate is structural and does not get optimized away.
